In episode three of the Open Book Besties podcast, we dive into the dark world of the master plotter herself, Ker Dukey. As many of you know, Ker and myself have written a ton of books together. Seriously. A ton. Our most notable series is the Pretty Little Dolls series. When Misty Walker (my co-partner in podcast crime) asked who we should bring onto the show, I knew we definitely had to bring on Ker for a couple of reasons.
For one, her British accent is ridiculously entertaining. So cute. Even my daughter sneaks in to listen to Ker speak whenever we get on video chat. She’s my sister from across the pond.
Secondly, and more importantly, Ker is brilliant when it comes to plots. Her plots are always intricately woven, rich, and layered. She’ll shock you damn near every time. Because I’ve co-written with her for years, I’ve been given exclusive access to her process. It’s fantastic to see her in action. I thought it’d be great for her to talk on the podcast about this process and get a peek into that brilliant brain of hers.
